Hello!

Hi to all,

The following was just issued by the Florida
Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission.

FWC AIRS FISH AND WILDLIFE ISSUES AT
PENSACOLA MEETING

CONTACTS: (wildlife and freshwater issues)
Henry Cabbage (850) 488-8843
(marine issues) Lee Schlesinger (850)
487-0554

Marine fisheries issues dominated the second
half of the Florida Fish and
Wildlife Conservation Commission's
(FWC's) May 24-26 meeting in Pensacola. The
FWC conducted final public
hearings on proposed rules that
would apply Florida's snook management
provisions (i.e., prohibition of
spearing) to fish harvested from adjacent
federal waters, and prohibit the harvest of
live shells within the town
limits of Fort Myers Beach. These rules will
take effect on Aug. 1.

Later,

Emilio Jorge Power
