Hi Harry G. Lee and all,

Many thanks to Mr. Lee for identifying the land snail I posted about as
undoubtedly the Rumina decollata(Linnaeus, 1758) discussed a few months back.
 You can read the article at

that doesn't work, try www.sun-sentinel.com and search for "snails".  The
first article titled "Aphelandra" contains the snail info.

It looks like this may be the beginning of the end of many native Florida
land snails.
