Dear Rosesea and to all who may be interested.
The book is paper back and has 373 pages. A brief review states," Here is a
new synthesis of the marine biology, ecology, biography, climatology, and
physical geography of the Neogene paleoseas of the Atlantic Coastal Plain
region. Designed as both a classroom textbook and a synoptic reference text.
Coastal Paleoceanography of Eastern North America explores sixteen different
seas,, covering such exotic lost worlds as the South Pacific-appearing
reefs of the Chipola Sea, the Millville Delta of the Salisbury Sea, the
giant scallop beds of the Chuckkatuck Archipelago of the Yorktown Sea, the
tropical estuaries of the Myakka Lagoons of the Okeechobean Sea, and many
others. In addition, over 750 molluscan index fossils are illustrated in
geochronological order and in an ecological context, making this book an
invaluable tool for both biostratigraphic and marine paleoecological
studies."
Also reviews on the cypraea and ecphoras .
If any other information you would like please let me know.
Phyllis
