Hello you all ,
I do like this list , and I am aware of the fact that some people doesn't
like to be informed what shells a specific dealer have in stock recently .
I think you are right Patty , it would be very dull , if we all couldn't get
such information on this list , but I agree it must be in the "check this
out " way , and it is always important to have a balance between commerce
and science (sorry , I couldn't find another word)
In the Belgian Conchological Society , I am a member of this club for over
22 years , was some ten years ago a discussion going on about shell-dealers
being able to sell their shells on the monthly meetings , (or not !)and I
and many members are glad to meet this dealers on our monthly meetings, and
we are quite pleased they come also every month , it would be very dull and
boring not to have those people around !
Some people doesn't like to buy shells , and for some it is the only way to
obtain shells .
For me personally I like to buy , but I also like to sell and exchange , and
I like it, at our annual Shell-show in Antwerp I bought several sp. but also
sold , and even exchanged some .
I think that everybody must be allowed to be able to enjoy their efforts of
studying and collect and even selling, but still respect eachother's opinion
.
We all must respect the playing rules on this list , and I think that nobody
is to be removed from this list , they should get the opportunity of
improving and , if not ,keeping the honour to theirselves!!!
well, that's my opinion , bye , Jan Neefs
