Speaking of snail dung, my criteria for dealers are:

         1. Accuracy of identification
         2. Quality (conformance to rating)
         3. Price
         4. Interest in having "correct" listings.

After 15 years of ordering by mail, I have my personal rating system -- but
I won't tell. And often less-than-favorite dealers  will have intriguing
specimens. Also, after 15 years, availability of uncommon species becomes
an additional criterion.
