Interesting theory, Wolfman.  My favorite self-collecting spot is near the
Port Everglades Inlet in Fort Lauderdale.  Ships are always anchored off
shore waiting for a berth.  I wonder if the anchor and chain are bringing up
some of the deep water specimens that are found locally in the shallows and
on the beach?
