I have always done well with frozen Mercenaria mercenarias. Buy them frozen (cheaper that way) and thaw however many you need every other day in a small cup of sea water. When thawed (takes about 1 hour) slice in half and put them in. Charonia variegeta also does well on this diet. If you have the time and money, try a few other bivalves and possibly a few crustaceans. Try and vary the diet a little. Sure the animals will do well on a single source diet, but think about what they eat in the wild.... Very few animals have evolved to live on a diet of only one thing and a food web is more stable than a single food chain.
