                        Hello all.
Sorry I only ever seem to ask questions rather than
contribute to discussions but I'm always about 3 or 4 days behind in
checking the emails (I just can't keep up with the volume of messages!) and
by the time I read them there are already loads of excellent responses...
Anyway, I am looking for a reference for the
molluscan fauna of the Red Sea - either printed or on-line. All
recommendations gratefully received.
BTW, I am still getting excellent results in
removing varnish with caustic soda. I have spoken with a specialist poisons
adviser who noted that the fumes from a strong solution can occasionally
agitate the respiratory tract, especially in those already prone to asthma,
but no lasting damage occurs. If small volumes are used the amount of fumes
are negligible - I have never had any trouble at all. The results are great
though. I still haven't been able to find any TSP in the UK though Bret!
