Hello,

I hope COA 2001 was a great success... I would liked to be there. Well,
maybe next year (if I get funds).
For now, I keep working in my systematics project, and the time has come to
present some results. Class Aplacophora is completed already, until the
species level.

I know Aplacophora is not a very popular Class among conchologist ;-) but
this is the first Class in any classification of Mollusca, and I have heard
that, if you can choose, you better go first class...

Right, no more jokes. Aplacophora is a small Class and may be ideal to
experiment some changes without spend many hours putting all upside down.

Since this work is intented to be a tool (a useful tool, I hope) for all
malacologist, I would like to submit it to your consideration. I do not
expect there are many specialist in this class here, but as a tool, the
species list must be designed to be used and so, I would like to hear
comments about its layout, understandability (what a word! does it
exists?), time to download, etc...
Of course, any suggestion, enmendation, recomendation, addition or
reconvention will be not only accepted, but acknowledged. I donīt have
enough knowledge to deal with the entire phyllum at that level, so if you
donīt help me, this project may never be a complete reality.

The rest of the Classes are at different stages of development: the species
list for Polyplacophora is almost ready too, while major Classes are still
at family level, and pending of review. Also references list are quite
incomplete: I have to dig deeper inside the original sources (and this will
be a problem, because I have no access to most of them...)

Thatīs all. For those who never have visited my site, to see the
systematics section just follow the link "Sistematica". Please, have a look
and tell me what you think.

Best regards,

Alfonso Pina
