Dear Scott
I have specimens of;
                            Conus barthelemyi Bernardi
                            Conus barthelemyi leemani- Prampart's Cone
                            Conus gubernator
all from the Seychelles in the last two years.
The last two I collected myself while diving. Conus barthelemy Bernardi I
obtained from a local friend. While similar they are all distinct. My C.
barthelemyi leehmani being mainly white with the odd rectangular brown
blotch.
Pictures of all three appear on page 255 of COMPENDIUM OF SEASHELLS- Tucker
Abbott & Peter Dance.
If you want any further details I will happily supply.

Regards
           Dominic

Dear Conidae experts,

I have a specimen labled Conus pramparti Richard from the Laccadive
Islands, India, referred to as a variant of Conus barthelemyi Bernardi,
1861. Does anyone know anything about this synonym? There was nothing
that I could find in Rockel, Korn & Koen.

Regards,

Scott Jordan
