On the subject of Sanibel IDs, please check the link
http://www.shellmuseum.org/sanibel_shells.html
within the Shell Museum site. It is a project in progress (currently only
about 35 species); our goal is to have around 150-200 species online (this
would initially exclude extremely small micromollusks). I hope to be able
to produce and publish an ID guide (book) of "local" species (useful to
anyone collecting on the beach, shallow bay areas and such) with
illustratiosn and short descriptions, etc., as soon as I reach that figure.
Comments are welcome!

Cheers,

José
