Hi Bill:
I was just checking out the proof sheet for 16 of the color plates!
Quite spectacular.

This years feature is Indonesia
I absolutely love the centerfold picture.
It is an exquisite "Chicoreus celinamarumai Kosuge, 1980"
set to a purple themed background.

I can't wait to see the other half tomorrow.
Leslie

Subject: Shell Desk Diaries

Back in June, Leslie Crnkovic was asking about some of the older
Shell Desk Diaries. The current publisher of the diaries has a web
site at:
www.shellmark.com

In the snail mailing I got from them today, they indicate that they have
all the previous issues available (although quite expensive). However,
their web site indicates that may not be the literal truth. In any case, if
one wants to secure past issues, their web site is probably a good place
to start.
