David:

I went down to Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key (Manatee County, West Florida)
on Sunday, but there was not much material on the beach yet. Sometimes it takes
a few days for the good stuff to wash up. I did find my first specimen (in
Florida) of Perna viridis, the recently introduced green mussel from the
Pacific.

Yours, Andrew
