Continued from message #! due to size of letter and Conch-L restrictions:
Sorry about splitting the paragraph! That's my fault!

There is also a discussion forum attached to just this zone of the site and
is designed as a discussion area for articles, and questions regarding any
issues involving malacolgy. Participants must be registered. Once again
see details on the info page.

Man and Mollusc also has a search engine on site now to assist you in
locating items easily. I hope this along with the site map page and a new
navigation bar (to be found at the top of each page) will assist in making
your visit as easy and pleasurable as possible.

Since Man and Mollusc aired in December of 1999, it has seen over 34,000
visitors and over 100,000 page hits from folks in almost every country in
the world. I have met many wonderful visitors through emails and even a few
personal phone calls, and the questions and praises keep flowing in. As to
the questions, well, many of you Conchlers have helped out in answering
queries with which I have needed assistance. I thank you all so very much
for your invaluable assistance and for freely giving of your knowledge.

With this being such an extensive revision of my site, there are likely
going to be a few glitches! (I hope that isn’t an under statement!) If
there are portions that don't appear totally correct or you experience an
odd broken link for the next week or two, I beg your forgiveness. However,
if you have major problems, I will be away for a short five-day fishing trip
with my husband and Dad (He lives with us). BIG problems needing to be
dealt with immediately from Oct. 09 to 14 should be emailed to Shawn
Honeychurch (web assistant and one of the Discussion Form moderators) at
[log in to unmask] and thereafter myself, Avril Bourquin (site
owner)at [log in to unmask] I will be home on Oct. 08; however, as I am
going into a bigger computer on the 14th, so I will not be connected for 24
hours.

I hope you will all drop by for a visit and see my new and improved site and
return from time to time, as there is always something new to be found.
The best way to watch for “What’s New on the Site”, go to this link:

I also appreciate hearing from you in my Guest Book. I hope you enjoy
visiting the site frequently and that it will be helpful to all!

As I stated back in 1999 to the Conch-L list, “It is my desire in designing
this site to help educate by creating a depository of mollusc-related
materials. With all the help and encouragement that I received from several
kind conchlers, friends, and family, I forged ahead with my ideas and
started up the site. From the Conch-L archives Wed, 22 Dec 1999

Well. I think I’ve done that and more!

All the best,

Avril Bourquin
