Hi Conchlers,

Just a simple question.

I have seen sometimes 'Umbonium vestiarium' (L.,
1758)[TROCHIDAE] from the Mediterranean (v. gr.,
Haifa, Israel)in lists for exchange.

It is mentioned as a lessepsian species in Goto &
Poppe, as well as in many Italian works, but I
remember reading somewhere (sorry, I forgot the exact
source) it has only been recorded from Northern Africa
(I think it was Lybia), and several decades ago.

Can anyone confirm the presence of this species in the
Mediterranean sea?

Thanks in advance.

Fali.

Rafael Marķa Puertas Rey.
