Dear Conchlers:

I just wanted to let everyone in on a good bargain. The American
Fisheries Society book store has Turgeon et al., Common and Scientific
Names of Aquatic Invertebrates from the United States and Canada:
Mollusks, 2nd Edition (book and CD), on sale for only ten dollars US. I
just ordered mine. Though I have not seen it yet, I have looked at the
first edition, which was well worth this price, even without a CD. It
had some good color photos of live molluscs and it coined common names
for many species which are not commonly given common names. The
extensive species lists included salt water, fresh water, and
terrestrial molluscs.

They also have a few other books (mostly about fish) on sale for the
same price,
and a few other works not on sale which deal with molluscs.

Here is the link to the book sale list:

Yours, Andrew V.
