Hi all

This year's Conchologists of America convention will be held in Sarasota,
Florida July 13-17, 2001. There will be a variety of programs, field trips
and activities, including a fossil field trip  on July 12 and a wading trip
on July 17. During Bourse setup there will be diving trips, a fishing trip,
and museum visits, as well as shellcraft sessions. The Auction and the
Banquet will be held on July 15, and Conch-Lers will meet July 14. A bus
trip to the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum in Sanibel is planned for July 18.
Detailed information should be posted on Conch-Net shortly.

Anne Joffe, [log in to unmask], is Auction Chairman and would appreciate
donations for the auction. We also need 4-6 raffle items. Please contact
Anne with your donations. The auction and convention proceeds fund our grant
programs which aids molluscan research.

The convention committee is very excited about our plans and we expect an
exciting and entertaining time will be had by all. Mark your calendars to
visit Sarasota next July!
