As far as I know, Fusinus luteopictus (Dall, 1877) is a valid species,
fairly common in the SW United States.  There is another genus (subgenus?)
name that I have seen used, but I can't recall it right now.  If I remember
correctly, the species is covered in Abbott's American seashells, and also
in the smaller Field Guide to Seashells of North America, which I believe is
also by Abbott.
