Here in eastern Newfoundland I have had good success in finding shells in
the stomachs of many deep water fishes including:

Cod, All of the Flounder family, and Monkfish.  I have found a wide variety
of shells this way and many species in my Newfoundland collection are
exclusively obtained this way!
