Dear Bruno;-
   A couple of years ago, I spent a whole morning tossing S pugilis back into the ocean. This was at Sanibel. That would indicate that they are quite common.
    Any time you want to know if a shell is rare or not, consult a dealer or Tom Rice's Prices.
    The only shells not listed by Rice are either so common, a nickle would get you five; or so rare, no one has offered them for some time.
