I received a fossil Miocene cowry as part of a donation to the 2004 COA
Convention. The name is Barycypraea caputviperae from Nyalindung, Western
Java. I am trying to obtain the author and date for this species. While it
is listed on the web, the info I seek is not, nor are there any pics.

Also, a pair of Lanistes sp. snails from the Ruvu River in Tanzania was
donated. I photographed the pair from all angles and can e-mail the pics to
whoever thinks they might be able to ID them.

Many thanks.
