According to my notes, the land snails that Helmut Nisters donated to the
COA auction brought $260. Overall the auction raised more than $13,000, and
the silent auction more than $4000. After paying for the expenses of the
convention, any proceeds from the auction go towards educational grants, so,
as chair of the grant committee, for COA, I am grateful to all who made
contributions.
