Hi, CONCH-Lers!

I have a group of Scaphellas that I thought were junonias.
But now that I examine them again, I am not so sure - there is more white and the spots are smaller than the typical junonia. Unfortunately, I have no locality data, as I got them from a garage sale, for next to nothing. I will bring one along to COA.

However, I could send a blurry scan to you who know Scaphellas - with my limited depth of field, you would get an idea of the distribution of the pattern, but nothing more. Their shape would not indicate the inflated form butleri.

Please contact me off list, and I will scan one for you.

Thanks,
Linda
