Some interesting  WWconversations going  on, which reminds me that
"mollusca" is planning  to switch back to reply to the list again, if a
communication i recieved recently is still valid.  So, this may be a
good time to join up!!
 
A  question to anyone who doesn't play chess with the critters:  Just
how smart ARE octopi anyway, and are squid just as intelligent?  I have
heard some rather wild stories on the topic, but has anyone done some
good, hard science on the topic?? (of course,  a few  true-life tales of
cephalopod derring-do would also be welcome on the list,  methinks!!)
