I wanted to post this again since I foolishly posted it a few hours before
last week's list expired.

I'm am doing research and writing a paper on the Turbonilla species of the
Northwestern Atlantic.  These days I note in Rosenberg that Turbonilla
interrupta (Totten) has many synonyms.  At getting to the bottom of whether
or not these other "pseudo-species" are in fact just variations of T.
interrupta, I've failed to track down any particular articles arguing the
issue.  The particular at present invalid species that I'm particularly
concerned with is T. areolata (Verrill) and T. vineae (Bartsch).  I have
Powell's treatment of T. buteonis in 1981.  That one is clearly distinct.
There are others such as T. winkleyi and T. cascoensis, but I'm primarily
focusing on the above 2 species.  Does anyone know of the articles where
any of these were proclaimed just a variation of T. interrupta?  Any help
in this regard would be greatly appreciated!
