I recommend visiting Pt. Montara and its tidepools. The beach is
small but the tidepools near the lighthouse, south of Montara State
Beach (where collecting is prohibited), are full of wonderful
creatures and well worth the visit. It is on the edge of the
Fitzgerald Marine Reserve and reached via Hwy. 92 and Hwy. 1.
