I tnink Lynn has hit the nail on the head, here in Queensland the Gold
Coast Council spends a fortune on beach replenishment to keep the
tourists happy but a few miles up the coast on Stradbroke, Bribie and
Frazer Island beachs, sand is ripped out of some sections in huge junks
by savage south easterly winds but is replenished within a year or so by
kindly northerly winds. Its natures way and there is little or nothing
we mere mortals can do about it.
