The date and time stamp is usually set by the sender's ISP or mail server.
If you, John are on the west coast, east coast ISPs (including AOL) will
appear to be sending mail from 3 hours in the future.  I guess this note
will test what time I see on it.  It should have a time a little after 6 PM
(central time zone).  HTH
