Last May we had occasion to ship a car from the port at San Pedro.
While there, we were looking around the town. We were mainly looking
for the lighthouse. We spied "The Sea", parked the car, and headed
inside. Wow! It was truly INCREDIBLE! I decided then and there to go
out and buy a bed and just move in to this most fascinating place.
There was so much to see. One hardly knew which way to turn because
there was awesome stuff everywhere. After about 3 hours of looking at
shells, whales, sharks and giant glass fishing floats we had to leave.
We were told that the store was going to close and that great deals
could be had. Our big plan was to head back to Phoenix, get our truck,
head back to San Pedro and fill up the truck with as many goodies as
possible. Unfortunately, we never did it.
I regret to say that I only visited The Sea once. I do not expect
to see anything like it again in my lifetime. Being there was a
wonderful experience. It is very sad that it exists no longer.
The website is terrific. It pays great (and deserved) honor to
The Sea and its owners. David, I assume you are responsible for it, you
did a marvelous job.
