John Wolff is telling it like it is. Shells are of no help in
the brain damage that so often occurs from the flickering photonic
emissions that are called "programming"; unless, of course, you hold
them directly in front of your eyes to block the "gaze of the
Cyclops" (with apologies to Apollo) and afford yourself yet another
chance to take in the shells' beauty.
 
I started with Radio-T.V. Electronics in high school (and that
phrase ought to date me!). The other radiations are of minimal
consequence.
 
The one radiation that he didn't mention is from the degaussing
coil that is energized --for a few seconds only-- around the ferrous
'mask' that is just behind the screen's phosphor coating. That is
hazardous only to video tapes left carelessly up against the T.V.
 
For the headache caused by poor network presentations, take two dive
