I am not aware of who is the real owner of the 20th century Fox. As a
matter of fact, if the producer withdraws the money, the movie stops...
But maybe the first signer of the petition, if on-line, can answer your
question.
 
By my experience, these petitions via internet are quite powerful. If you
remember what was happening in South Africe more than one year ago, well, I
can say that the situation - if not 100% solved - was at least stopped for
reconsideration by the government! And the Museum is still alive and
active, thanks God!
