Dear Conch-Lers:

I would like to acquire an empty sailor's valentine box or two. My plan is to
give these to my artistic, teenage daughter to encourage her interest in art
and shells. I have been looking around on my own, but have not found any
sources for such finely crafted, wooden boxes, which are glass-inclosed. If
anyone knows of a source for these boxes,
would you please pass along this information to me. Although I have seen some
beautiful sailor's valentines at shell shows, I don't have any pictures of
these. Can anyone suggest a book or two which has pictures of these? I will
appreciate any help you folks can provide. Thanks.
