As I mentioned before, I use Access and it really works great.  I know
it can be fixed up to do labels but I would have to change/add a couple
of fields and I just haven't seen the need.  My one hint is to use the
feature where the field has a little down arrow that opens a box with
all of the entries in it.  This should be used for families and
locales.  This way you enter each family name once and from then on you
just select that name (actually you start typing the name in the field
and it appears).  This prevents split entries due to typos like
Epitoniidae or Epitonidae.
