Can anyone explain the difference,if there is one, between a hybrid and an
intergrade. I know that we here in California sometimes encounter abalone
specimens with characteristics of two species. We usually call them hybrids.
I have seen other species that display characteristics of two species from
their genus called intergrades. As a rank amatuer, I'm a bit confused. Your
input will be appreciated.
