Dear Group, Selling through mail order and selling out of a shop can be
quite different. In the shop, I can't get enough Murex, and of course I
sell a lot of Marginellas, because I have a very large selection. The
Conus and Cypraea go well if the stock has quanity and quality, but I
find that people seeing the quality of the shells in "person" will buy
them, because they have been dissapointed when ordering from a list.
It's not quite what they were looking for. Whenever our stock on a
certain item gives a lot of choices be it specimen shells or Shell
candles, they will sell well. When the stock is low the last items just
set. Unless it is rare shells of course. Now selling with a web-page
is another story.
