Dear all;-
        One doesn't have to go very far to find evidence of species that are
truly rare. Check your Kaicher Cards. How many use the phrase: "Known
only from---". One of our problems is that some "rare" species are
either very tiny or not particularly lovely. There are very deep water
species that are not "rare" but merely not found. There are some species
of mollusks that are found both deep and tiny. And a dredging ship may
simply not cover their ground.

1835 for "--when one becomes available."
