With apologices to Andrew - I did enjoy your poetic
reference to the cat. I will definitely keep your delightful
poems..

On the Pecten and the Cat

To shellers of beach and cay
And feline lovers too- don't dismay
As an oystering and pectening follow-up
Feed the cats a dollop of scallop
And you'll make EVERYONE''s day.

While I'm here writing about tales from the shore
Where I've found pectens and shells galore
My cat walked across the computer
And now I have to reboot-her
Nonchalantly Kitty just walked out the door.

I don't think Kitty'd like poetry scraps-it
Would be a feeding mishap-it
Would stay there in her dish
Longer than we'd wish
When plain cat food came -up she would snap-it !

----
I just returned from dental surge(r)ncy
Which was a matter of urgency
A warm anesthetic glow
Makes one more wordy you know
But I'll stop before there's an insurgency.

(well, try, anyway)
