OOPS, I hit the send button before I was ready - here's the rest . . .
I'm not much on fossils, but I noticed in an old, oooooold catalog of fossils
that I have kicking around here, several names of fossil Ficus. Thought you
might be interested in them:
Ficus floridensis, Caloosahathee Formation, Florida
Ficus modestus, Astoria Formation, Oregon
Ficus multiformis, London Clay, England
Ficus ocoyana, Topanga Formation, California
Ficus papyratia, Caloosahatchee Formation, Florida
Ficus subcarinata, Seine Basin, France
There are also a few Ficopsis listed. I don't know if these are in Ficidae,
but I'm sure some Conch-L'er does:
Ficopsis cowlitzensis, Cowlitz Formation, Washington State
Ficopsis penita, Gosport Formation, Alabama
Ficopsis texana, Claiborne Formation, Texas

Then of course there is Ficus elastica and Ficus carica, but I don't think
you want those (they're plants).

Regards,
Paul M.
