Dear all;-
        I have a shell identified as Latiaxis rubrococinea. It MAY be authored
by Quoy and Gaimard. Can anyone certify that. Does anyone have any
information re: Messers Quoy and Gaimard? They appeared to have used
their combined talents to identify a number of new species around the
turn of the century---the last one, that is.
        The shells itself is small, pinkish (thus the "rubro") and without
projections.
