Well, Art W. wanted to know what was found after the hurricane here in
northeast Florida.  Enclosed is a message from a local resident
asking for assistance in regards to the finds ((these finds were
prominently featured in the local newspaper (The Florida Times-Union)
with a colour photo)).

    Hello Mr. Frank,

        I am a resident of Jax Bch and went to the beach recently to see
what the sea and the close call of the hurricane had to offer. I found
many starfish and now have them on my back porch. Well here is my
dilemma. They are starting to stink, I thought just putting them out in
the sun would dry them up so that I may put them away, but that
apparently is not the right way. Please direct me to a good site about
preserving starfish and other shells and maybe other misc. things found
on the beach. I would appreciate any help you can give me in this matter
and want to thank you for your time for reading this.
