I'm also new to Conch-L, but I've beach collected shells for many years. I'm
also a certified scuba diver, but know very little about collecting when
using scuba.  It seems every shell I pick up is still alive and unfortunately
I don't always discover that right away!   Please help!  Are there any scuba
divers at there who can advise me???  I'm planning some dive travel to So. FL
next month and then to the Carribean in the Fall.  I sure would like to bring
back a few shells and be kind to the environement at the same time!! Thanks, K
