On the subject of this as raised by a previous posting, can anyone tell me
what a shell with Byrne's disease looks like? What are the signs and
symptoms? :) I read that oak fumes will cause it, but don't know what it
looks like once a shell is "infected". Are certain species affected or
all? What is the cure for a species like Cypraea that cannot be soaked in
bleach?

Thanks,
Nancy Smith
