Dear Conch-L-ers,
We Floridians from Key West to Ft Lauderdale have weathered Hurricane Irene.
Hurricane Floyd was a bigger blow but was far enough out to sea where the
full effects were never truly felt. My electricity just came back on as im
sure with others (this must be the first time that our lovable ferret hasn't
shown his wet shadow).
Im sure most collectors will be scouring the shorelines this weekend for
washed-in "goodies". To those of you who made it through this very wet 2
days-you can pat your backs, again. Hopefully "Irene" was the last Hurricane
of the millenium for us Floridian "Conk-ers".
