Yes, thanks Kobie.  Several people have e-mailed me personally
with accounts of these cones being eaten by the locals.  I think
I'll decline my share, anyway!  They eat most of the shellfish raw
in Samoa, though I have found several well-cooked Lambis
truncata shells lying around.  Cones evidently aren't a staple
here or I'm sure I would have seen some of the cooked shells.
The Samoans I've seen out collecting turbans and trochus never
pick up the cones.
