Hello all,

I was just wondering if anybody knows if cowries or other shell money are
still being used as such. I seem to remember hearing somewhere that on some
Pacific Islands cowries are still an essential part of the dowry. I just
cannot find where I read this.

I am sure there are list members who know more about this than I do
