Subject: British Library online meeting 1st March
Sender: Tony Campbell <[log in to unmask]>
In the first initiative of its kind by a government-funded body, the
British Library is holding an online open meeting on 1 March giving BL
users the opportunity to question the Chairman John Ashworth, Chief
Executive Brian Lang, and senior managers about the Library's future
and the issues raised in its 1998-99 Annual Report.
From 10.00-16.00 on 1 March, users, the information community and the
general public will be able to submit their questions through the Web.
Responses to questions can also be viewed on the Library's website,
allowing participants to find out the answers to the range of
enquiries received.
Users from overseas will be able to submit questions from 16.00 GMT on
29 February - giving those in different time zones the opportunity to
ask questions if they cannot take part in real time when the online
meeting goes live.
Enter the online meeting via the British Library Web site
<http://www.bl.uk/>. A dialogue box will be provided for you to type
in your question.
