hello to all,
Octopi are famous for their eight limbs — it’s even where their name comes from — but they have even more brains than arms at nine. There’s the primary brain that does all the decision making, and one smaller brain within each of the eight arms. With so many appendages, they need the extra processing power to sort out all the information coming in, and allow the arms to perform tasks while the primary brain pays attention to something else. As if eight arms and nine brains weren’t enough, an octopus also has three hearts for good measure!
