Since a lot of folks have joined the list recently, i'll send this out again:
To make URLs that you send in an email message "clickable", just Cut and Paste
the entire URL from the browser window, - as in http://www.manandmollusc.net/,
as opposed to just www.manandmollusc.net. By cutting it out of the active
window, you also ensure it is the correct address!
To send an active "clickable" email, just put mailto: in front of it, as in
mailto:<[log in to unmask]> - no space after the : .
This works for pretty well all formats of email, sending or recieving - except a
few of the older browsers or email programs don't like them (but these are only
a tiny minority!)
Helpfully yours from the Land of the Beaver;
-ross.
P.S.: thanks Lynn - that's more than i knew before!!
