To All,
I walk the beach daily and no shells (other than "normal") have washed up
along th south-east coast of Phuket (Rawai Beach). Think the type of waves,
the rapidity of development and the fast return to "normal" wave action
afterwards might be the cause. We have more sand/mud on the reef than
before and small coral head have been tosed into the upper intertidal zone
from the lower tidal zone. Time will tell as to any damage to intertidal
molluscan life.
