I was made aware that there  are photos of the lighthouse online that
show there are basically no structures or infrastructure left around
it, its sitting on what is a tiny spit of sand with sparse vegetation,
literally just feet from the Gulf in pretty much any direction.
Clearly there has been significant shoreline erosion, at least at that
spot.
